Dear participants and resource persons, dear guests,
- This is the follow up information to the first Announcement and invitation. It is our pleasure to inform you that we have successfuly completed activities that will contribute to the success of our international conference on sustainable waters mangement. We expect success both from the perspective of organisational as well as content wise. A strong motivation to our work has been added by the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia that joined in its role as co-organizer, the Minister dr. Roko Žarnić accepted the role of the key-speaker.
- We would like to inform you that in the session of the Steering Committee on 13th September the major strategy of the conference was discussed and adopted. We put special emphasis on the quality of the speakers and especially to the second day of the conference, devoted to the presentation of mid-term research projects to be adopted by the conference.
- Conference Programme. The principal features of the programme of the conference are presented bellow with themes proposed and speakers invited (* = to be confirmed).
The first day, morning will be devoted to the keynote address and other high-level speakers in presenting the current situation of implementation of international committments in practice. We are happy that distinguished speakers representatives and experts of different international fora and agencies have confirmed their participation. They are expected to cover in their interventions above all specific subjects, e.g. EU platform for management of waters; UNEP-MAP, ICPDR, Danube and Sava Commission, as well as Black Sea Commission including some cases of good practice in sustainable management of water resources.

- The registration fee will be as already mentioned in our first annoucement 100 € , for students 50€; however the presenters, resource persons and invited guests will be extempt from the payment. The registration fee covers all conference material as well as special publication containing proceedings of the conference. Based on appropriate justification the secretariat of the conference retains the discretion to reduce the fee for some participants or extempt them from payment of the fee .
