ANNUAL 2016 FRAMEWORK PROGRAMME FOR
ECPD INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT, URBAN PLANNING AND ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES, Ljubljana
PROPOSED SUBJECT OF ACTIVITIES:
- Forming of an expert group with the task of following different European calls where ECPD or ECPD-related institutions could apply for funding
- New calls in area of EU Danube strategy: http://www.danube-capacitycooperation.eu/announcements/
- New calls in area of EU strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian region: http://www.adriatic-ionian.eu/
- Cooperation with Slovenian MEP, Mr. Franc Bogovič, who is a member of EU-Serbia Stabilization and Association Parliamentary Committee: http://www.europarl.europa.eu/meps/en/125004/FRANC_BOGOVIC_home.html, and with other MEPs.
Active participation in activities organized by ECPD HQ Belgrade
Active work in:
I. Search for partners and popularization of ECPD's activities in Central Europe and beyond, with focus on important capitals/hubs in the region: Vienna, Budapest, Prague, Munich, Geneva, Brussels, Trieste.
II. Work on established partnership with University of Ljubljana (http://ecpd.si/index.php?page=agreement-beetween-ecpd-and-university-of-ljubljana)
III. Continuation of cooperation with ICPE, which has been very fruitful during the past 4 years and is based on the signed agreement between ECPD and ICPE (http://ecpd.si/index.php?page=agreement-ecpd-icpe)
IV. Active involvement in events and education-related activities in the field of public health where ECPD HQ takes the role of main organizer (such as the HEALTH FORUM OF SOUTH EASTERN EUROPE) with an emphasis of acquiring new sponsorships for the organization of events/programmes. The same applies to organization of summer schools (such as the II ECPD INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL ON REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH PROMOTION AND CARE, Miločer)
V. Find and motivate new professionals - with emphasis on Slovenia -proficient in new technologies and knowledge (IT, public relations, new trends in health and environmental technologies, economics, international relations, …) in order to give ECPD the public role it deserves and in order to discover new opportunities for it.
Acquisition of financial resources for ECPD Institute is seen primarily in areas addressed above in I., whereas strengthening of staff resources will primarily be done through V.
